POLICE ARREST MAN AFTER FOOT CHASE ON COLLEGE STREET PDF Print

According to Julie Anne Williams, Public Affairs Officer with the Glasgow Police Department, on Tuesday afternoon, GPD had received a complaint of a suspicious person  on East College Street wearing a tan jacket and having a camera around his neck.  Officers arrived on scene and made contact with 20 year old Jacob S. Carter of Siloam Road in Glasgow.  Officers advised Carter of the complaint and when asked for his photo ID, Carter took off on foot.  Despite Officers repeated warnings, Carter would not stop.  Officers stayed in pursuit and ultimately caught up with Carter.  Upon search, Officers found a small plastic bag of suspected meth, marijuana, rolling papers and scales were found.  Carter was arrested and has been charged with FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE 1ST DEGREE, RESISTING ARREST, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT 2ND DEGREE and DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.  Carter was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center.
