For the second time in as many days a Scottie Athlete has signed a letter of intent to play college sports.  And for the second day, the last name is Alexander.  Bailey Alexander signed to play Softball at Trevecca University in Nashville.  Her cousin Emily signed a golf scholarship with WKU Monday. But Tuesday it was all Bailey who feels good  about playing for The Trojans under coach Ben Tyree at the college level.

Bailey is a four year starter for GHS where she has played as an outfielder and 3rd base.  Among her many team and individual honors include 15th district and 4th region all tournament team, 1st team all academic and All state honorable mention.  Her high school head coach Stephen Murphy says Bailey has developed  3 qualities that will insure her continued success

A large crowd of friends and family were in the cafeteria for the signing.  Among the most proud  Rick Alexander, a grandfather who has watched two granddaughters in the past two days advance to college athletics.
