According to Julie Anne Williams, Public Relations Officer for the Glasgow Police Department, on Saturday afternoon, just after 5:00pm, GPD Officers conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Orange Cadillac on the 200 Block of North Race Street.  The driver failed to signal as he made a left turn into a residence.  Officers asked for identification and the driver gave the name ‘Caleb Lee’.  Officers had received a previous complaint of drug activity involving the vehicle and officers knew the driver was giving a false name.  The Officers gave several warnings about giving a false name to law enforcement, but the subject refused to cooperate.

After correct identification was made, dispatch notified that the driver, 20 year old Matthew Dillon Lee of Runway Drive in Fountain Run, was driving on a suspended drivers license. The K-9 unit was deployed and alerted on several areas inside the vehicle. Upon searching, officers found numerous bags of suspected marijuana prepackaged in separate bags, a large amount of cash and scales.

Lee was arrested and has been charged with FAILURE TO/OR IMPROPER SIGNAL, OPERATING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE, GIVING OFFICER FALSE NAME, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA and TRAFFIKING IN MARIJUANA. Lee was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center.

Today is Hope Deckard day! She is celebrating her birthday today.
