BARREN CO. SHERIFF'S DEPUTY FLOWN TO LOUISVILLE RESULTING FROM ACCIDENT DURING HIGH SPEED CHASE PDF Print

A Barren County Sheriff's deputy has been injured and flown to Louisville following an accident during a high speed chase.

Monday night at  8:49 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green Troopers Wes Medley and Raymond Chambers responded to the area of Oil Well Road/Skaggs Creek Bridge regarding an injury collision.

Barren County Sheriff’s Deputy David Houchens (33) of Park City, KY was traveling south on Oil Well when he lost control of his 2006 Chevrolet Impala and struck a tree.  Deputy Houchens was assisting another Barren County Deputy who was involved in a pursuit of a violator on Oil Well Road.

Deputy Houchens was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by Trooper Wes Medley.  Trooper Medley was assisted on scene by Sergeant Jermaine Savage and Trooper Raymond Chambers.
