Area schools competed in their respective regional meet at Ephram White Park in Bowling Green.

In the Boy's Class 1-A meet, Glasgow was able to win its first regional title. Zachary Wheeler was able to secure third place with Augie Brown right behind wheeler in fourth. Carter Chavira helped the Scotties clinch the title with his sixth place finish. Other notable performances include Cumberland County's Levi Owens finishing Second behind Buttler County's Ethan Jenkins. Devin Geralds of Monroe County placed ninth. In team Scores, the Scotties were able to overcome Hancock County for first. Cumberland County finished fourth and Metcalfe County was sixth.

In the Girls meet, it was Marrisa Moore of Glasgow finishing twenty six seconds ahead of Hancock County's Emily Woodward to clinch a birth for the state meet. Moore was a dominant runner throughout the race widening the gap between her and Woodward over the course of the race. Monroe County's Grace Turner captured a fifth place finish and her personal best for the seson and Clinton County's Bianca Soma finished twelfth.

Single A State Meet Qualifiers for Boys teams are Glasgow, Cumberland County. Boy Individual Qualifiers Include Monroe County's Devin Geralds and Joseph Quick; and Metcalfe County's Jackson Bell.

Boy's Triple A Region 2 meet showcased Some of the States quickest runners. Grayson County's Bret Crawford was able to beat out Greenwoods Keith Prive  for first place.  Barren County's Billy Mowery was able to lead the Trojans with a new personal best. Mowery finished twentieth and a bid to the state meet. Matt Reed was able to run his best time of the year as well placing thirtieth. The Trojans finished seventh as a team with North Hardin winning the Boy's regional title.

The girls race featured the number one girl's team in the state of Kentucky. Bowling Green was able to dominate the race sweeping the top five spots. The Lady Purple's  Madison Peeples had a strong victory with a thirty second lead over teammate Brittany Hanson. For Barren County, Kayla Roeder was able to improve upon a Cinderella season. The first year runner was able to clock in a personal best and finish fifteenth for the Trojanettes qualifying her for the state meet. In team scores, Bowling Green won the meet with Central Hardin second. Barren County finished sixth.

The State Cross Country meet will be this Saturday with the Single A Meet starting first with the boys at 9:30 AM EST at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
