Forty nine year old Charles A. Rose of Burkesville was traveling east bound on Burkesville Road in his 1999 Ford pick up truck.  He lost control of the truck on the wet roadway.  Rose went off of the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.  He was transported to TJ Samson Hospital where he was pronounced dead by Barren County Coroner Mike Swift.

The jaws of life were used to free Rose from the truck.  He was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the accident.

The accident is being investigated by the Barren County Sheriff's Office.
