Chase Alexander Whatley, , 12, son of Jason Whatley and Nicki Sullivan, both of Lexington, died Wed. Oct. 16, 2013. Chase was born Nov. 19, 2000 in Lexington and   was a seventh grade student at Jessie Clark Middle School where he was a member of the football team (#70), and played cello in the school orchestra. Nicknamed “Chasey” by his sister Casey, he loved YouTube, enjoyed playing chess and Xbox and was a comedian.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his stepfather, Ernest “TT” Chandler, Lexington, KY; two sisters, Casey Belle Whatley and Cara Chandler, both of Lexington, KY; maternal grandparents, Randall and Martha Sullivan, Greensburg, KY; paternal grandparents, Marshal T. and Judy K. Whatley, of Campbellsville, KY; aunts and uncles, David and Tressie Hird, Versailles, KY and John and Marsha Logan, Henderson, KY; and Debbie Sexton, Lexington, KY; great grandmother, Lucille Graham, Greensburg, KY; five cousins, Ashton, John, Ann, Jack Phinn Logan and Hadley Hird.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Mon. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Pastor Dale Sanders. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Sun at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to the Jessie Clark Football, 3341 Clays Mill Road, Lexington, KY 40503.
