The Glasgow School Board held their monthly meeting last night at South Green Elementary.  On the agenda, was the unfinished construction at Glasgow High School.  Jeff Wells, Project Manager with Alliance, told the board he had just finished the 1 year walk through and noted all items that were still open.  Wells told the board the camera system had been up and running for the past three weeks.

Dr. Barrett Lessenberry commented on the School Board’s disappointment with the amount of progress being made. Dr. Lessenberry went on to ask Kevin Cheek, representative with Sherman-Carter-Barnhart, if these types of issues were typical with his construction projects and Cheek responded with,

In regards to the unfinished items and the construction project as a whole, Dr. Lessenberry asked Wells when he expected to finish:

Cheek went on to add that progress is being made, it is just slow.

Also on the agenda, Glasgow Independent Schools retiree Ms. Brenda Harper was honored for her service. Michelle Tinsley, Instructional Supervisor with Glasgow Schools, shared assessment data results and noted that Glasgow High School and Elementary Schools Assessment scores were up from last year.
