Margaret Seymour Davis age 87 of Horse Cave passed away Wednesday October 9, 2013 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was a native of Hart County and a member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church and a former employee of the Hart County Circuit Court Clerk and was well known for her work at the Election Polls and a Notary Public. Mrs. Davis recognized the importance of communication access for deaf individuals and became involved with the deaf community serving as a  bridge between deaf and hearing people. She was a loving mother who blended two families together and was a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Seymour and Lena Seymour, a son, Robert Clyde Davis and by her husband Ernest Davis.

She is survived by three children, Vicki Lawler & her husband Sammy of Munfordville , Richard McCalvin & his wife Pam of Greensburg, Indiana, & Mary Belle Davis Washko & her husband Charles of Spartanburg , South Carolina. Two step-sons, E. Lee Davis & his wife Mary of Cave City and Greg Davis & his wife Lisa of Cave City. One sister, Ruth Asbury & her husband James of Horse Cave. 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Funeral services for Margaret Seymour Davis will be held at 11am Saturday at the Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.Visitation from 2 to 8pm Friday.
