October 14th -18th is Homemakers Week and here in Barren County, the homemakers were formed in 1938 and now have 240 Homemaker members.  Members have work days year round to get ready for the annual Christmas Bazaar, in which all proceeds go to ovarian cancer research.  Brenda Leftwich, with the Barren County Homemakers explains why this group is so passionate about raising money for this research:
