Area schools competed at Barren County High school for the Barren County Area District meet. In the girl’s meet, Edmonson County’s runners secured the top two spots. Leader Jessica Smith and teammate Maranda Russell were able to lead the Lady Wildcats to a first in team scores. Barren County’s Taylor Davis fought hard finishing third in Front of teammate Kayla Roeder. Other notable finishes include Josie Guggisberg  finishing 6th for Hart County and Allen County’s Taylor Stamps placing tenth. In team scores, Edmonson County won over Barren County. Hart County finished first ahead of fourth place Allen County Scottsville. Russell County was fifth.



In the boys meet, Edmonson County Chance Stockdale was able to finish strong ahead of team mate Austin Sasse. Caleb Choate of Hart County hung strong with the leaders placing third. Allen County’s Frankie Estes rounded out the top five with Jacob Belcher of Barren County finishing sixth. Other notable finishes from the meet include Clinton County’s Jacob Cross placing eighth, Cumberland County’s Levi Owens in ninth and Glasgow’s Auggie Brown finishing fifteenth. In team scores, it was a close fought battle between Barren County and Edmonson County. Edmonson County had three runners placing in the top five while the Trojans consecutively finished together during the race. In the end, the Trojan’s were able to take the top spot with the Wildcats Seconds. Allen County Scottsville placed third with Clinton County fourth and Russell County fifth.
