Anna Katherine Hanson, 89, Cave City, died peacefully on September 11, 2013 at her home with her husband by her side.  The Barren County native was born February 27, 1924 to the late Carl and Fannie Monroe Willis.  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Woodford and Wilson Willis.

She was an expert homemaker, a founding member of Pathfinders and an active member of Highland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Coy J. Hanson; a son, Ronald and his wife Linda of Bowling Green; two grandchildren, Ronald Coy Hanson, Jr. And his wife, Lori of Bowling Green and Lesley Ann Mills and her husband, Scott of Glasgow; three great-grandchildren, Morgan and Peyton Mills of Glasgow and Dustin Turner and his wife, Crystal of Bowling Green; a great-great grandchild, Allie B. Turner of Bowling Green; a brother, Arthur Willis of Bowling Green, a sister, Evelyn Duffy of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with Scott Milby officiating will be at 10 AM Saturday, September 14 at Cave City United Methodist Church with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.  Visitation at the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City will be after 4 PM Friday.  The body will lie in state at the church after 9 AM Saturday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Highland United Methodist Church Youth.
