Judith Ann "Judie" Turner Silveria  73 - passed away Monday, July 1 in Philadelphia, PA. A resident of Galloway, she was born September 25, 1939 in Seymour Indiana. Judie attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and San Jose City College in California where she earned her degree in dental assisting. Judie was an avid gourmet cook, & loved traveling through Europe where she would take cooking lessons with her daughter. When she returned home, she would share her culinary adventures by experimenting on her many friends and family, and no one ever left hungry. She loved lighthouses, seashells and beaches while living in South Jersey for the past 39 years. She was a wealth of information regarding her family's genealogy and was delighted when she discovered she was a descendant of patriots who had fought for the US in the Revolutionary War. Becoming a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was a highlight of her research. She also earned membership in the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 and National Society Daughters of the Union 1861 - 1865. A celebrity at family reunions, Judie was always surrounded by relatives as she shared her many photo albums tracing her lineage. A kind, generous and compassionate person, you could always rely on her to listen to what ails you, but "give it to you straight" with her advice. She is sorely missed by her many friends and family.

She is predeceased by her father, Ancel Turner and survived by her mother, Lois (Evans Turner) McDonald of Glasgow, KY, her son, Michael Silveria of Galloway, and her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Silveria of Boston, MA. Judie will be buried in her family plot in Glasgow, KY.

Burial and Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to recommend donations to the American Heart Association , www.heart.org and the Daughters of the American Revolution, www.dar.org. -
