The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a robbery and homicide.  The Bowling Green Police Department received a call of a robbery which occurred at Domino's Pizza, 2201 Stonehenge Avenue, at 0013 hours on August 26, 2013.  When officers arrived they located a man in the side parking lot deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Employees told police a man entered the business and demanded money.  We have been able to determine the shooting occurred after the robbery had taken place.

The victim is identified as 51 year old Harold Dean Johnson of Bowling Green.  Mr. Johnson was employed by Domino's Pizza at a separate location.

Shortly after the robbery and homicide occurred, the Bowling Green Police Department came into contact with John Paul Shobe, 20, while canvassing the area in the early morning hours of August 26, 2013.  After a brief foot pursuit, Mr. Shobe was taken into custody and charged with Giving Officers a false name and Fleeing and Evading on Foot.

Detectives developed enough information to secure a search warrant for Mr. Shobe's apartment, 2116 Rock Creek Road Apartment 1.  Based on evidence produced from the search, Mr. Shobe has now been charged by the Bowling Green Police Department for the homicide of Harold Dean Johnson as well as the robbery of Domino's Pizza.  Shobe is currently lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and all further inquiries in reference to charges or prosecution should be forwarded to Warren County Commonwealth Attorney Chris Cohron.
