James Perkins, 62, of Munfordville, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran haveing served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Friendship Bapitst Church.He worked for over 30 years as a chief operator in Breksville, Ohio Water Treatment Plant.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and gardening, most of all he loved God and taking care of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Maxine Perkins.

Survivors include his wife, Cassandra Perkins of Munfordville, KY; two sons, Cazzion and Cahari Perkins of Munfordville, KY; two daughters, LaShonda Perkins of Cleveland, OH and Leona Perkins of Munfordville, KY; a grandchild, Antonio Perkins of Cleveland, OH; a brother, Phillip Perkins of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Marcene Burns and Marlene Nobles.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church in Horse Cave with Rev. Micheal Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY with full military rites. Visitation begins at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church.Watts & Percell Funeral Home  of Glasgow is in charge of the arrangements
