Christine E. Scott, 64 of Glasgow died Saturday, July 24 at her home.

She was born in Nanking, China to missionary parents. She grew up in Japan and returned there as an adult as an ESL teacher. She and her family lived in Silverdale, Washington, Forest City, Iowa, and Houghton, Michigan prior to moving to Glasgow in 1999. She was a special education teacher in Barren County and an active member of PEO, Friends of the Library and Kids Hope. She enjoyed yoga, walking at the YMCA and reading. She was a lifelong Lutheran who believed in a gracious and loving God.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dr. Steven Scott, Psychophysiology Coordinator at Lindsey Wilson College, their three children, Marvin Scott of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Steve Scott of Louisville; and Dr. Anna (Scott) Landers of Morgantown, WV, their spouses, and three grandchildren.  In addition, she is survived by her sister, Priscilla Lynch of Saugatuck, Michigan and her brother, Gordon Hansen of Guntersville, Alabama.

Memorial service for Christine E. Scott will be at 2 pm on Sunday, September 8th at the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow.  Christine died on July 24, 2013 at her home in Glasgow at age 64.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may be given to the Kids Hope Project at the First United Methodist Church, Mary Weldon Memorial Library, or PEO.
