RECENT INDICTMENTS RETURNED BY THE BARREN COUNTY GRAND JURY PDF Print

A recent session of the Barren County grand jury netted several indictments.  Over the next several days WCLU news will release the information from the latest session of the grand jury.

 

31 year old James Lee Smith, 30 year old Vincent T. Patterson, both of Barbara Road in Tompkinsville, along with 23 year old Dorkelisha Oche Smith of Forrester Road in Glasgow were indicted on drug related charges including  Trafficking in a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence,  and possession of marijuana.  In addition James Lee Smith was indicted on persistent felony offender charges.

54 year old Mary Ann Lawrence of Shalimar Florida was indicted on drug charges from an April arrest for possession of a controlled substance 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree, along with promoting contraband prescription not in original container and alcohol intoxication in a public place.

37 year old Melissa Lynn House, of Happy Valley Road, Glasgow was indicted on charges of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree and driving on a suspended or revoked drivers license following an incident in late April.

27 year old Sean Lewis Shirley of Grand Avenue in Glasgow was indicted on 4 counts of possession of a controlled substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest in an incident in  May of this year.  Additionally Harold Shirley, of the same address was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An indictment is an accusation only, and a person is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

We’ll have more indictments from the latest session of the grand jury over the next several days.
