Monday, 12 August 2013 06:23

The Glasgow City Council has a busy agenda for their regular meeting tonight, including an item to consider what is termed “unfinished business” which is council member  Wendell Honeycutt’s proposal pertaining to a stipend for city employees.  That item was introduced as a part of the last regular council meeting.  There are several first readings of ordinances tonight including one authorizing the  sale of city of Glasgow, water and sewer refunding revenue bonds for financing the construction of additions and improvements to the water and sewer system of the city.

Another will  make available $122,800 from the unappropriated sanitation / landfill fund balance for  funding grants and projects.  Several appointments to the airport board are scheduled to be made, and the council may go into closed session to discuss a potential disciplinary

action against an individual city employee.  The meeting is at 7 pm on the second floor of City Hall in the council chambers.
