Harold D Rector, 88 of Bowling Green passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. The Warren County native joined the Navy during WWII and served as a Gunner’s Mate on Merchant Marine Ships. He studied Industrial Arts at Western Kentucky College and worked for the Kentucky Highway Department and later formed Rectors Furniture Shop.

He is survived by his children: Duane Rector, Cynthia Frey, Sally Rone, Ray Rector, Nancy Roberts, Judy Mitchell and Lisa Heile; his grandchildren: Kristy Lee, Diana Lansden, Billy and John Frey, Allison Rone Cardwell, Adam Rone, Alana Rone Wade, Jordan Ryan Zuccarell, John David Ryan, Jessica Throneberry, Rachel Roberts, Melissa and Megan Henry, Meredith Emans, Katie, Reed and Jessica Mitchell, Ben, Thomas and Andrew Heile; his great-grandchildren: Braxton and Bralon Lee, Olivia Frey, Caitlynn, Brittany and Alexas Cardwell, Dalton Edmonds, Aubrey Zuccarell, Cailey and Brynn Walker, Trinity and Cooper Short, Wyatt Emans, Brody Mitchell and Caroline and Samuel Heile; three sisters: Sara Meisel, Patsy Watkins and Jeanette Estes and one brother: Elston Rector.

Funeral services for Harold D Rector will be at 2PM Saturday, July 13. 2013 at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in the Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4PM to 8PM Friday and after 9AM Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the funeral home.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
