The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 2 vehicle accident on Veterans Outer Loop Thursday afternoon that sent a Knob Lick Woman to the hospital. James L. Hale ,44, of Glasgow was traveling westbound on the Veterans Outer Loop when a 2004 Kia Sorento driven by Amanda Wilson ,26, of Knob Lick pulled out in front of him. Wilson was attempting to cross the intersection on Franks Mill Road, and did not see Hale’s vehicle that was traveling behind a dump truck. Hale struck the Sorento in the side with his 2004 Chevrolet Colorado. Wilson was transported to TJ Samson Hospital by Barren Metcalfe EMS for treatment of nonlife threatening injuries. Hale suffered minor injuries but was not transported.  Deputy David Houchens investigated the accident, and was assisted by Deputy Kevin Wilson, East Barren Fire Department, and Barren Metcalfe EMS
