Around 1:pm Monday afternoon Sheriff Chris Eaton was in a private vehicle traveling around the square in Glasgow when he observed a small child hanging out a rear passenger window of a green four door passenger car that was also occupied by two white males. Sheriff Eaton notified dispatch and continued to follow the vehicle out West Main Street. At one point the child climbed out of the vehicle onto the roof, and then back down to sit on the window seal of the vehicle. The vehicle was also observed swerving in and out of other lanes of traffic. Sheriff Eaton was finally able to get the vehicle to pull over by blinking his head lights. There was a child seat in the vehicle, but was not in use. The driver told Sheriff Eaton that he was just not paying any attention to what the child was doing, and that he had no idea that the child was hanging out of the vehicle. Backup soon arrived and the two men were arrested and taken to the Barren County Corrections Center. Carlos Sexton 65, of  Glasgow was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree; Reckless Driving; and Failure to Use Child Restraint Device in Vehicle. Carlos Sexton Jr. 46, also of Glasgow was charged with Public Intoxication , and Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense. Sheriff Eaton was assisted by Constable Buddy Houchens, Chief Guy Turcotte, Sgt. Jennifer Arbogast,  Det. Brian Wise, and Deputies Aaron Bennett and Mike Houchens.
