Leon Merideth Hendrick, 81 of Bowling Green died Sunday at the Christian Health

Center.  He was a Warren County native,  a veteran of the United States Air

Force, serving during the Korean War. He spent most of his employment in the furniture and floor

covering business, first at Southern Kentucky Furniture Company, and later at Discount

Enterprises Furniture and Floor Covering as co-owner and manager. He was a member of Bethel

United Methodist Church, Oakland Masonic Lodge #563, and the Oakland OES #571. He was a

30 year member of the Commonwealth Health Corporation Board of Directors.

He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Carter and her husband, Terry, and Beverly York, and

her husband, Kevin both of Bowling Green; a brother, Rich Hendrick and his wife, Carol of Las

Cruces, New Mexico; and sisters and brothers in law: Christine Hendrick, Harold and Bettye

Hendrick, and Kenny and Alicia Hendrick, all of Bowling Green. Also survived by six

grandchildren: Darren Grimes, Jennifer Johnson, Jordan and Emily Carter, and Luke and Gage

York, three step-grandchildren, Marshall Carter  Bobby Beckner and Dena

Beckner, all of Bowling Green and five great grandchildren.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with

burial at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday with masonic services at 7:30

p.m. at the funeral home.

Alternate expressions of sympathy can be in the form of  contributions to Bethel United Methodist Church, 4800 PorterPike, Bowling Green.
