On Saturday, May 18 at 5:42 P.M., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to the 18 mile point on the William Natcher Parkway regarding a single vehicle injury collision.

According to Trooper Chris Newkirk, Ashley Phillips (26) of Burnside, KY was traveling North on the William Natcher Parkway when she dropped off the left shoulder of the roadway.  Ms. Phillips overcorrected and crossed the right hand lane and struck the guardrail.

Ms Phillips was taken to Medical Center in Bowling Green with non-life threatening injuries.  The collision is being investigated by Trooper Chris Newkirk

On Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 6:22 P.M., Kentucky State Police responded to 11775 KY 88 (Cub Run Highway) in reference to a injury collision involving a motorcycle, and a horse and buggy.

According to Trooper Graham Rutherford, Stephen Goodman, 47 of Munfordville was traveling east on his 1990 Honda Motorcycle. David Weaver, 57 of Munfordville was traveling west on KY 88 in a Horse and Buggy. Just prior to the two meeting, Mr. Weavers’ horse became startled and turned left into the path of Goodman’s motorcycle. Goodman attempted to avoid the buggy but was unsuccessful and struck the buggy causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and overturn.

Goodman was transported via KY Air Methods to the University of Louisville where he is currently listed in serious but stable condition. David Weaver and his passenger, Anna Weaver, 55 were both transported by ambulance to Hardin Memorial Hospital and were treated and released.  Trooper Rutherford is leading the investigation and was assisted on the scene by the Cub Run Fire Department, Hart County EMS and Larry’s Towing.
