The 8 day trial of  3 Barren County law enforcement officers has ended after 8 hours of jury deliberation.

Barren County Sheriff Chris Eaton was found guilty on two counts of Witness Tampering, and not guilty on the other charges. s Eaton was found not guilty on charges of Deprivation of Rights under Color of Law, Falsification of Documents, Giving False Statement to Federal Investigators, Destruction of a Record, Document or Tangible Object.  Sentencing is set for August 1st at 9am.

Deputy Aaron Bennett and Drug Task Force Officer Eric Guffey were found not guilty on all counts of  Deprivation of Rights under Color of Law and Giving a False Statement to Federal Investigators .

According to the indictment documents, the maximum penalty for the charges Eaton was found guilty of is no more than 20 years imprisonment, a fine of $250,000 (both) and no more that 3 years of supervised release.(each count)
