One Person Arrested For Driving Under The Influence On Carnation Drive Thursday. Glasgow Police Officer Fletcher Was Leaving The Police Department Around 4:30 When He Heard The Sound Of A Collision. When Approaching The Area He Observed A White Chevy Impala Driven By 44 Year Old, Deloris Short Of Glasgow Driving Behind A Silver Ford Escape. Officer Fletcher Investigated The Scene And Could Detect A Strong Odor Of Alcohol Coming From Short. While Speaking With The Individual She Started Slurring Her Words. Several Field Sobriety Test Were Asked To Be Performed, Short Refused. Officer Fletcher Ask That Short Complete A Breathalizer Test Which She Also Refused. She Then Stated That She Had One Beer And Then Later Stated She Had Two Or Three. Short Was Arrested And Charged With Operating A Vehicle Under The Influence Of Alcohol/Drugs-2nd Offense, And Failure To Produce Insurance Verification. Short Was Lodged In The Barren County Jail.
