TWO LADY SCOTTIE GOLF ALUMNI TO COMPETE IN NAIA CHAMPIONSHIP PDF Print

The Mid-South Conference completed their conference golf tournament and awards for the 2012-2013 season and 2 former Lady Scottie Golfers were among the team members for the 14th ranked University of the Cumberlands Lady Patriots that won the tournament by 7 shots over Lindsey Wilson College with a 305 and 308 in the final round for a team total of 613 and earned an automatic bid to the NAIA National Golf Championships in Lincoln, NE on May 21 - May 24 for the second year in a row. Senior Laura Beth Harris came in 7th individually with a 5 over 77 and 7 over 79 and was named to the 1st team all conference for the 4th year in a row and to the all conference academic team.  She has also been nominated as a canadiate to the NAIA All American team entering the national championship.  Sophomore Shannon Bishop came in 9th individually with a 5 over 77 and 9 over 81 and was named to the honorable mention all conference team as well as the all conference academic team.

 

 

 

Today is Gayle Berry Day!!!  Gayle is retiring July 31 from the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center.  A reception is being held today from 1-3.
