Many thanks to the Barren-Hart-Metcalfe Ky-ASAP (Agency for Substance Abuse Policy) Coalition for a $500 mini-grant to fund the purchase of some much needed items for our K-9 unit headed by Sgt. Michael Burton and his partner Cain...The items you see, the red bag, is a first aid kit for Cain. He goes through some rough terrain when looking for missing persons, drugs, etc...This is a major asset to assuring his quick and on the spot treatment should he be injured. The item in the black case is an e-collar. This allows Cain to go up to 3/4 of a mile on his own during a search. The flags you see are to mark areas that have been searched, that need to be searched etc...This will be a big timesaver in setting up perimeters etc...
