Roger Glenn Jenkins, 73 of Oakland died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center after a long battle with cancer which he fought with faith, courage and fortitude.

The Warren County Native was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church, a retired employee of Firestone Tire & Rubber and Country Oven Bakery and an Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Kimbro Jenkins; one sister: Louise Piper and husband Doug of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother: Harold Jenkins and wife Marilyn and three nieces and nephews: Judy Desmond, Ronald Piper and John Jenkins and wife Teresa.

Memorial services for Roger Glenn Jenkins will be held at a later date a Greenwood Baptist Church. Cremation had been chosen. Hardy & Son Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gideons International.
