ARREST OF 2 INDIVIDUALS AT THE SUPER 8 MOTEL IN CAVE CITY PDF Print

At approximately 12:10 PM on Thursday, February 28th, Chief Jeff Wright, Cave City Police Department, received a complaint from the super 8 Motel, in Cave City reporting two occupants refusing to leave at check out time. Upon Chief Wright’s arrival, he met with a female who allowed him to enter the room. Chief Wright observed what appeared to be marijuana in plain view. The male was passed out on the bed, and the female stated he was armed with a .25 caliber pistol. Captain Danny Coomer, Officer Terrill Riley from the Cave City Police Department, along with Deputy Robert Smith, Barren County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene. A quantity of suspected marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, a .25 caliber pistol, several items of drug paraphernalia, and a stolen laptop computer were located and seized. The Barren/Edmonson County Drug Task Force was called and responded as well.

 

As a result of this investigation, 34-year-old Nancy Neal of Brooks, KY and 40-year-old Robert Vance of Louisville, KY were arrested and lodged in the Barren County Jail. Each was charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd or greater offense, Carrying a concealed weapon, Possession of marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and receiving Stolen Property Under $500.
