Yesterday at 3:30 pm, in the City Council Chambers, the Glasgow Fire Department held their Retirement and Promotion Ceremony, along with a Presentation of 20 Year Pins, and the introduction of three new Firefighters.
Chief Tony Atwood began the ceremony with a warm welcome and then introduced the retirement of Assistant Chief Tracy Shirley

After Retiring Assistant Chief Tracy Shirley accepted his retirement, he gave a description of what’s to come for the new firefighters

Shirley then announced the Promotions:
New Assistant Chief – Michael Hale New Battalion Chief – Brian Marr New Lieutenant – Daniel Sexton New Sergeant – Wade Wyatt
Pins were then presented for the men of the Fire Department that had served for 20 Years. Pins were presented to:
Sergeant Cary Proffit Lieutenant Jeff Manning Captain Frank Duckett Chief Tony Atwood Retiring Assistant Chief Tracy Shirley And Caption Craig Hiser
To finish the reception, Chief Atwood announced the three new Firefighters beginning Duty on Monday
William Bowen Jon-Spencer Smith And Nicholas Swayne.
