Spencer HawksOn the evening of February 24, 2013 the Kentucky State Police responded to 4375 Aetna Furnace Highway in Jonesville, KY.  KSP received a complaint that a missing juvenile may be staying at the residence.

Upon arrival at the residence, troopers located the juvenile in question in company with Spencer T Hawks.

While at the residence, multiple items of drug paraphernalia were located in plain view.  After investigation it was determined that the juvenile had no involvement with the drug items and she was released to her mother.

Troopers then attempted to detain Mr. Hawks and he resisted arrest. After a short period of time, Mr. Hawks was taken into custody.

A search warrant was then obtained and executed at the residence.  The search revealed numerous items of drug paraphernalia as well as suspected methamphetamine and suspected marijuana.

Mr. Hawks was arrested and charged with Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Menacing, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (Drug Unspecified), Illegal take/ pursue of deer, and two counts of Assault 3rd degree on a police officer.  Mr. Hawks was lodged in the Hart County jail.

This investigation is being led by Trooper Justin Rountree.  Trooper Rountree was assisted at the scene by Trooper Timmy Jewell, Trooper Randy Chambers, and Trooper Wes Medley.
