Mr. Ricky Neal Scott, age 60, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky. He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Tuesday, January 13, 1953 the son of Edd and Gertie Fields Scott. Ricky was a member of the Green Grove Baptist Church and a Truck Driver, having been employed by Cart & Carty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Scott, Jack Scott, and Ron Scott, and his sister, Nettie Bradshaw.

Survivors include his lifelong companion, Joyce R. Spears, and his son Christopher “Chris” (and Carla Bush) Scott both of Burkesville, Kentucky, and his step-son Allen (and Allison) Spears of Albany, Kentucky, his sisters, Janie (and Ken) Hewitt of Burkesville, Kentucky, Pansy Firkins of Chicago, Illinois, Wanda (and Donnie) Vibbert of Burkesville, Kentucky, and Mildred Gearlds of Jeffersonville, Indiana, his granddaughter Adrienne Grace Spears, and his step-granddaughter, Asha Martin.

Funeral Services for Ricky N. Scott will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with burial in the Dutch Creek Cemetery. Visitation for Ricky N. Scott will be after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 until the Funeral hour on Sunday. Professional services provided by Norris-New Funeral
