Starting this Saturday a 4 week course, free of charge will begin in Glasgow that helps citizens better prepare for a disaster. The Community Emergency Response Team also known as “CERT” will be conducting this Free Training which begins Saturday, February 9 from 8AM to 5PM for a total of 4 weeks. Here’s Gary Chenoweth, Deputy Emergency Management director has more information:

The course will be taught at the Barren County Health Department. The team will teach basic disaster response skills such as: fire safety, light search and rescue and disaster medical operations.
