KYTC bridge crews performed an inspection earlier this week on the Old Glasgow Bridge. Located in Metcalfe County between KY 861 and US 68, the bridge is on Glasgow Street and spans the Clay Lick Creek. Judge Wilson and Mayor Garrett were contacted and the decision was made to close bridge based on KYTC’s inspection. The bridge is currently in the road plan with $450,000 scheduled for right of way acquisition, utility relocation and construction. KYTC is looking at starting the project this year with construction taking place in 2014.
