Dorothy Britt Lyle, 85, of Scottsville, KY died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.

The Old Hickory, TN native was a homemaker, a babysitter, a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing, a member of Dover Missionary Baptist Church and D.A.R.  She was a daughter of the late Ralph Crawford and Bonnie Stafford Crawford and wife of the late Jesse Dee Britt and Bailey Lyle.

She is survived by 3 sons: Dannie J. Britt and wife, Deanne, Plainfield, IN; Jeff D. Britt and wife, Zeny, Glasgow, KY and Dean Allen Britt and wife, Marsha, Scottsville, KY; 3 daughters: Cheyanne Zink and husband, Mickey, Weslaco, TX; Sandy Chansler and husband, Mike, Jacksonville, FL and Connie Sue Britt, Scottsville, KY; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Britt and Bro. Marcus Sherfey officiating and burial in Dover Cemetery with Bro. Mark Townsend officiating.  
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Tamassee D.A.R. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
