The Barren County School System announced great news yesterday morning…over $2 million in 21st century funding for elementary schools.  At a press conference held at the Central Office, Superintendent Bo Matthews was pleased with the news

According to Anthony Frazier, Principle of North Jackson the grant money has helped to strengthen subjects students rarely see in the classroom with collaboration from the community.

Tripp Taylor a North Jackson 6th grade student expressed his excitement about  the grants as well.

The grants will take into affect in the month of April giving school officials ability to plan their after-school program budget.
