The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible burglary in progress on Happy Valley Road Wednesday.  A family member had arrived at the residence and saw a black Honda passenger car with items from the residence lying behind the vehicle in the driveway.

When Sheriff Chris Eaton arrived along with his deputies he found that the back door of the residence had been kicked in and the house had been ransacked.  After speaking to family members it was determined that a Champagne colored 1999 Nissan Maxima with the license plate number 575MVA, had been stolen from the residence.

After further investigation, it was determined that the black Honda had been entered stolen from a business in Louisville earlier on Wednesday.

Anyone with information pertaining to this burglary, or if you may have seen the 1999 Nissan Maxima, please contact the Barren County Sheriff’s Office at 651-2771 or the Sheriff’s Tip Line at 270-646-8771.
