THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR SLEET AND

FREEZING RAIN UNTIL 8 AM CST WEDNESDAY.

* TIMING: LIGHT PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA

THIS EVENING. THE INTENSITY WILL PICK UP TONIGHT AND CONTINUE

UNTIL EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* MAIN IMPACT: A NARROW SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST ORIENTED BAND OF A

QUARTER OF AN INCH TO A HALF INCH OF SLEET OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS

IS FORECAST FROM THE GLASGOW AREA  UP THROUGH THE BLUEGRASS

REGION. THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF TOMPKINSVILLE... LIBERTY...

AND MADISON.

THE HEAVIEST BAND OF FROZEN PRECIPITATION MAY SHIFT NORTH OR

SOUTH OF ITS CURRENT FORECAST POSITION...DEPENDING ON SUBTLE

CHANGES IN TEMPERATURES AT AND JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE. A

SOUTHWARD SHIFT WOULD BRING HIGHER ACCUMULATIONS INTO THE ADVISORY

AREA SO STAY TUNED TO THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
