On Saturday, January 12th, the Glasgow Lady Scotties traveled to the Best of the

West Invitational.  It was a 16-team competition.  The Lady Scotties were led by

Meghan Taylor who was named the top female swimmer of the meet for her first place

finishes in the 50 free and 100 free.  Meghan also set school records in the 100

free of 54.72 and the 50 free of 24.70(actually the first leg of the 200 free

relay).  She also led the 200 medley relay team to 3rd place with a season best time

of 2:13.83 and the 200 free relay team to 5th place with a season best time of



Grayson Reynolds was on both relay teams and placed 4th in the 500 free and 5th in

the 200 free.  Brooklyn Brown was on both relay teams and placed 11th in the 100

backstroke and 20th in the 100 free.  Hannah Goodson was on the 200 free relay team

and finished 20th in the 100 backstroke and 22nd in the 50 free.  Addison Reynolds

was on the 200 medley relay team and finished 24th in the 100 breaststroke and 35th

in the 50 free.


The Lady Scotties finished in 6th place among the girls teams thanks to Meghan,

Grayson, and the relay teams.  The Lady Scotties will travel to the University of

Louisville pool on Saturday, January 19th, for the Rock the Block Sprint Meet.  They

will also be home for Senior Night, January 23rd with Barren County and Allen

County-Scottsville at 6 PM that night.
