Few details are being released, but Detectives from Columbia State Police are investigating the death of a 4 month

old baby.  Post 15 received a call Wednesday at approximately 11:47 AM CST from the

Adair County Coroner, Todd Akin, advising that the infant had been transported to

the Westlake Hospital by Adair County EMS after receiving a call that the baby was

not breathing.  The child was pronounced dead at the hospital and an autopsy is

scheduled for this morning at the State Medical Examiner's office.
