Thelma Miller Emmert, 88, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Sunday, January 6th, at Southern Kentucky Hospice, in Bowling Green, KY. Thelma was born in Tompkinsville, KY on December 12, 1924, a daughter of the late Vella (Bowman) and William McKinley Miller. Thelma was a member of the Rock Bridge Baptist Church. She served in the U.S. Marines during WW II. She was a school teacher for 26 Years and  Retired in 1982.

Thelma is  survived by her son, Randall M. Emmert Jr. (Vicki), of Glasgow, KY;two sisters, Carol  Ramsey, of Glasgow, KY and  Katherine Walden, of Tompkinsville, KY.,a brother, Isaac Miller, of Tompkinsville, KY; and three grandchildren, Meredith, Nathan and Allison Emmert.

 

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, William and Vella Miller, a brother, Denton Miller and a sister, Nelda Rand.

Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 8th,  with Bro. Gary Emberton officiating. Visitation is Monday, January 7 from 4-8 P.M. and Tuesday from 6-11 A.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery with military services preformed by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20
