On Saturday, December 8, members of the Barren County high school band auditioned

for the 2013 All-State Bands and Orchestra. Over 900 student musicians from

throughout the Commonwealth traveled to John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown to

perform a prepared piece of music and sight read for a panel of judges who are

experts on their instruments.  Membership in this band is the highest honor that

high school instrumentalists can achieve and translates into generous scholarships

to attend college.  Dr. Kip Crowder and Monica O. Crowder, directors of the BCHS

band are pleased to report the following results.
