KSP FUGITIVE SEARCH LEADS TO DRUG BUST IN MUNFORDVILLE PDF Print

Police are investigating a drug bust in Munfordville during a search for a fugitive. On Friday, Kentucky State Police and the Munfordville Police departments received a tip that a fugitive was possibly staying. On arrival, the agencies made contact with Corey Smith of Munfordville, Kimberly W. Wilson of Horse Cave, and Angela Horton of Munfordville.  While searching the residence, a bag of marijuana was found in plain view.

Also inside the residence was a small amount of methamphetamine along with several items of drug paraphernalia.  It was discovered that the fugitive in question had been at the residence, but had left prior to the police’s arrival.

All three occupants in the residence were taken into custody and charged with: Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), Complicity to Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), Possession of marijuana, Complicity to Possession of Marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Complicity to Possession of drug paraphernalia.  Mr. Smith was charged with additional charges of Possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified) and Prescription controlled substance not in proper container 1st offense.

This investigation is being led by Trooper Justin Rountree.  Trooper Rountree was assisted on scene by Trooper Jeremy Smith, Trooper Graham Rutherford, and Munfordville Police Officer Steven Shields
