Ida Blanche York, 87, died at 11:06 PM Dec. 6, 2012 at her home. The Hammond, IN native was a secretary for Eastman Kodak Co., a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Hammond.

She was a daughter of the late Marion Grant Bellamy and Ida Bell Warder Bellamy and the wife of the late Noah Francis York. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald York and Matthew York.

 


Surviving are four sons, Roy York (Tammy), John York (Eva) and Paul David York (Martha) all of Brownsville and Mark York of McDowell; three daughters, Mary Cockrill (James) of Brownsville, Judy Simms (Allan) of Murfreesboro, TN and Michelle Dalbec (Dennis) of Clarksville, TN; a step son, Ronnie Majors (Sandy) of Milan, IN; 28 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
Funeral will be at Noon Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
