On Saturday Evening, April Lile of Tompkinsville Road  in Glasgow  was traveling eastbound on West Front Street. 56 year old James Neal of McKenna Street  was stopped at the intersection of North Liberty and West Front Street. When Neal went to make the left turn on West Front Street, he failed to see Lile and pulled out directly in front of her. Lile was unable to stop and struck Neal’s vehicle in the left side of his vehicle with her front bumper. Once Neal’s vehicle struck Lile’s vehicle, it spun Lile’s vehicle and caused the right rear bumper to strike the left front bumper of a vehicle driven by  Robert Kindred of Summer Shade. Kindred was stopped behind Neal on North Liberty Street.

After investigating the accident, officers discovered that James Neal appeared to be intoxicated.  Neal’s 8-year-old daughter was a passenger inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. Mr. Neal was transported to the Barren County Jail and charged for driving under the influence and endangering the welfare of a minor. Jessica Pedigo of Cameron Court, Glasgow  was a passenger in April Lile’s vehicle and she stated that her shoulder and back were hurting due to the accident. An ambulance was called to the scene to transport her to TJ Samson Community Hospital. The other female passenger in the back of Lile’s vehicle stated that her back was hurting as well, however she requested to be transported by personal means. Neal and Lile’s vehicles were towed from the scene of the accident.
