LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES WORK TOGETHER FOR CHECK OF REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS PDF Print

From November 28th to November 29th, 2012, the United States Marshals Service, in partnership with the Bowling Green Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police and Kentucky State Probation and Parole, launched “Operation Big Red”, a sex offender compliance initiative aimed at verifying 100% of the sex offender registry in Warren County, KY.  This operation was conducted in furtherance of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, and focused on ensuring compliance with the sex offender registry and tracking down those offenders deemed non-compliant.  The total number of sex offenders currently registered in Warren County is 106 (with 8 of those offenders currently incarcerated), and the total number of compliance checks conducted was 98.

In addition to the compliance checks, there were several arrests:

-Tyson COLTON was arrested on an outstanding Parole Warrant and also charged with Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry.

-Dennis COCKRELL was arrested on charges of Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry.

-Roy YOAKEM was arrested on charges of Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry.

-Thomas HALL was arrested on charges of Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry.

-Two additional sex offenders were cited for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
