Two fires at one address and the state Fire Marshal has been called in to help determine the cause.  First, the Glasgow Fire Department responded at 9:35pm Wednesday to 213 Eastview Drive to a report of smoke coming out of the eaves of the house. Firefighters found that an electrical wire that had be run in the attic over the joist had overheated and set a few of the joist on fire and the surrounding insulation. Firefighters extinguished the small fire and removed the smoke from the attic. No injuries were reported and no damage estimate was given. Units were on the scene 1hr and 50 minutes.

Then, early Thursday morning  the  Fire Department responded back to 213 Eastview Drive at 3:49am.  On arrival firefighters found heavy fire showing from the attic area. The fire was extinguished in around an hour. The preliminary investigation determined that the second fire most likely did not rekindle from the earlier fire. The State fire Marshals office has been called to do a cause and origin investigation on the fires. The house sustained substantial fire damage to the attic area with the first floor being damaged from water.  The house was occupied by Justin Bionnema, and is owned by Dick Thomas. There has been no damage estimate given. Neither of the fires is thought to be suspicious in nature. There were no injuries and firefighters were on the scene around the second run for about 2 hrs.
