Kentucky State Police Police are investigating a collision that occurred Friday morning nine miles south of Russell Springs on KY 55.  29-year-old Jessica Day, of Russell Springs was traveling north on KY 55 when she lost control of her 2001 KIA Sportage.  The vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert causing the vehicle to overturn several times.

Day and a passenger, 34-year-old Heather Stephens, of Russell Springs, were not wearing their seatbelts and were flown to U.K. Medical Center in Lexington where they are still being treated for their injuries
