Luther C. Turner, 83, of Scottsville, KY died at 5:10 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Cave City, KY native was the retired owner/operator of Turner's Grocery, a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and a Baptist. He was a son of the late Levy B. Turner, Sr. and Dora Lee Gerald Turner. He is survived by his wife: Barbara Nell Turner, Scottsville, KY; 1 son: Terry L. Turner, Scottsville, KY;1 daughter: Pamela Turner Burns, Scottsville, KY; 4 sisters: Alene Williams and husband, Ray, Scottsville, KY; Frances Garmon and Virginia Dowell, both of Elizabethtown, KY; Mildred Munoz, New Orleans, LA; 3 grandchildren: Sara and Ashley Burns, both of Seattle, WA and Stephen Champagne, Jr., New Orleans, LA; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Pauline Atwood; 3 brothers: William "Bill" Turner, Levy Turner, Jr. and Edmon B. Turner. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chuck Pruitt and Bro. Jimmy Turner officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Parkinson's Foundation. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
