Bryon Wayne Carpenter 71 died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his home.  He was a member of the NRA, Green River Gun Club, and loved hunting and being outdoors.  He retired from General Motors in 1999.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda DeVasher Carpenter; a son, David Carpenter of Yorktown, New York; three daughters, Eileen Banscher and husband John of Yorktown, New York, Beverly Hood Pedigo of Glasgow and Teressa Hood of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Tara Landrum and husband Grant, Tasha Cotter and husband Daniel, Tyler Pedigo, Nick Peters, Daniel Moffitt, Brianna Banscher and Amber Banscher; great-granddaughter Ellie Grace Landrum and a brother Robert Carpenter of New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Elinor Roll Carpenter.

Funeral services for Bryon Wayne Carpenter will be held at 3pm Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the J. C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane Chapel with burial in the Bowling Green Gardens.  Visitation from 5 to 9pm Saturday and 10am to 3pm Sunday.
